ok so i broke something!!

im working on a customers 2000 lincoln town car--im swapping out the fuel pump and level sender

so on the fuel pump and housing there is 2 harnesses--1 that plugs into the vehicle harness over the tank--and the other runs to a sensor thats in the tank as well-looks like a module

well when i went to remove that harness from whatever sensor that may be--the sensor snapped off,cracking off at the plastic,im having a hard time figuring out what sensor this is.....

can anyone give me an idea of what this is?{vent sensor maybe?...}

Its the evap sensor for the emissons . Tells the computer if theres a leak in the system ,kind of like if you had a bad gas filler cap . You need to replace it .

Im pretty sure anyways . lol

thanks,got the parts jockey dropping off the 62 dollar part{fuel tank pressure sensor},dam thing snapped off at the thin part just below the harness

i was doing my best to get away with not dropping the tank-tried to squeeze a pick and small screw driver up in there to unclip the harness-and it didnt take much effort to just snap the dam thing off....
