Has anyone ever heard of using Dawn dishwashing liquid in slicks to make them seal better? I am not planning on running tubes. I have had slicks go down from time to time. Is that the normal case? Any ideas what to use if Dawn is not the answer...??
Thanks!

I know a guy that does it with his prostock. Rub it on the inside of the tire and let it sit in the sun for a bit.

Dawn works great for sealing any pores in the slicks. As far as sealing the slicks to the rim, I used 3M Weather Strip Adhesive and rim screws. Right before you are ready to seat the beads, wipe the rim bead area down with BrakeClean... I sprayed a rag real heavy with the adhesive and wiped both the tire area and rim with the glue. Seat the beads, good to go. Rim screws went in last. Works for me.

Cheers -
