adding an aero hood scoop that will be mounted directly on top of my terminator injector. i have read to use a tray to seal the scoop , but where the scoop meets the windshield, do i leave it open in the back at the windshield or seal it? and if i seal it, do i leave a few holes to allow an occasional backfire when starting from blowing up the scoop. thanks for your help. a few pics would be awesome

Mine is fully open at the rear - but fits the screen closely.
I like it because you can see whats going on under the scoop.
Any problems and you can shut everything down quicker.

I have ours sealed all the way up. I made a curved piece that is fastened to the back of the carb tray that curves up to the top of the scoop (on the inside)

i sealed mine up. i noticed a small increase in mph. i trimed a piece of aluminum and glassed it in. Prior to that it was open. when it was open i found a real advantage to being able to look through the scoop to see where i was going while navigating the pits. good luck. let me know if you need some pics posted.

Mine is all sealed. The pro stock guys have spent allot of time and money on this. You see new designs all the time. I think at high speeds is where you can benefit.
