I have a set of sbf heads with the number
S/N0197-1290 on the other end 20-450. Pretty sure the 20-450 is a Canfield # but what is the other number mean?

20- valve angle
450- 192cc cast intake runners

Not sure if the other numbers will tell you anything specific about the heads. You may have to bring them to a shop that can check the port and chamber volumes, measure valves, check springs, etc to know exactly what you have.

I had a set of those heads a few years back. they are pretty good heads, I was going 8.80's on 300 shot. panhandle performance did the cnc work. they were flowing around 330's @700

Same head castings that I have on my car. If they are done correctly, they are a fine set of heads.
Mine flow upper 320's on the intake side.
