Ok , I built a nice forged 383 & glide and came across a nice 88 GT roller . I bought the AJE K-member kit with headers . How hard is this swap ? I can get the motor stuck in the hole , just wondering about the wiring and such .

rewire the car..its the best way to do it plus you can jditch alot of weight by getting rid of the heavy factory harness..

cheap wireing kits here in this thread unless you want to do yourself up one

Really want to keep it close to factory as my car still has all the heater and could have A/C . Car even still has power windows and locks . Roll cage was bent around the factory dash

i would still rewire it..you could just get a 21 cir kit..cut the stock wires about a foot from each switch you want to save or use and then connect new ones to it..it will be alot easier doing this vs dealing with, hacking into and pulling what ever wireing you dont want out of the factory one that is 23yrs old..to me dealing with the factory bundles for the fuel injection and shit would be a nightmare..this way just take a whole day of wiring and your done..also helps if there is ever a wireing problem with the car because you wired it so you can track the shit down easier

The swap part is easy an yes all you will find is hurt feeling ford guys crying..what trans are you using..if a glide or th350 order the adj ford trans cross member..then you just have to make your spacer an that's it..i have a thread on here..i would mark it an go get iyt tax welded once you figure out the final location..cross mem is 60$

Drive shaft if heard certain ones out this an that will work an then you use adapter to mount to the 8.8

If your running a msd box then its pretty much just wiring that in an your done really besides maybe some other lil things.

Thanks for the replies . I ordered the AJE crossmember , K-member , mounts and headers . I bought the car as a roller from the classifieds . I am running a powerglide . The car has a 35 spline 9" with south side machine arms . I'll have the drive shaft made in Houston . I just want the power windows and locks to work and it will have a heater , just no air for now . I managed to get a V8 in a Luv . Just looking for as much info as possible .

Not so worried about the Ford puriest . I was building a Nova and the Mustang showed up . My forged sbc in a Ford it is . I think these cars will get pretty light . This car was 3180 with a twin turbo sbf set up . Anyway the AJE K-member can go sbc , bbc , LS or Ford with a mount swap .
