World reknown cylinder head master Barry Ferry passed away last night. This guy fixed heads for everyone from formula1 teams to NHRA Prostock and Top fuel teams. I'm sure that some of the people on this board will know who he was and what a great talent he had.

I don't kow him, but when someone with talent like that passes it's always a loss for our sport, I hope he had apprentices he passed his knowledge to. Prayers to his family.

RIP. I never heard of him before. Not to hijack the thread, but this makes me think of some of the people I know that are "getting up there in years" and have YEARS of experience on top of talent and know-how but do not have apprentices to pass the information to. Some very talented and knowledgable peolple are out there and when they're gone, well, What then? I know that there are always guys coming up that will push the envelope, but it makes ya think.
