All Motor Small block Ford. You're using light steel rods with honda journals and a 4.2" stroke. The engine is close to 450cid. The heads are nice, CFE style heads.

What is the minimum RPM you'd have to turn in order to exceed 800HP? It doesn't need 850hp, but we want to be on the heavy side of 800.

How much RPM would that take with an engine like this? We'd like to use as little as possible to minimize maintenance and parts breakage.

Thanks for any info.

If an engine like that is not making north of 800 Hp by 7500 rpm there is something wrong.

What CFE heads? Either head should easily hit 800hp by 7,200. I did a set of 7721's on a 427" motor that hits 800hp at 7,100,and carries all the way to 8,200.
