Seriously I have wondered this myself. If you have a crap valve train then likely not. I know of a pretty well known gray mustang in my area that revs to 8,000 plus rpm but I've heard he has a good chunk of money in the valve train. I know flow numbers don't mean much with a turbo I'm talking along the lines of good parts vs. a lower grade product
I've taken stock rods and a stock cast crank, and cast pistons in a 68 302 to 8 grand.

How do I put this? My high dollar short block shit the bed, been considering a more affordable dart block with scat 4340 internals. Only problem is my top end is spec'd to make power in the area of 7500-8000. valve train is nice stuff. don't wanna kill my top end with a cheap short block

Which bolt is best? ARP or L-19. I heard L-19 bolts will rust of the don't stay oiled. Oil pan full of oil I understand that.
That's what Nelson does with his Mirror Image Turbos? Is that a good idea? His engines top rpms are like 6200 rpms. Should I do that? How would it work on the street just playing around?
