I use the Hornady manual the most, but have several others as well.

The nosler manual has saved me lots of $ in the long run by showing witch powders was most accurate has been right 95% of the time. Things change when short barreled rifles come in to play like 18-20" compact rifles. I just worked up a 308 load w/125 b-tips at 3180fps using w748 in my tikka t3 varmit got some .41" groups.

I just bought my first press a month ago. getting peices and parts together. I'm going to start reloading over the winter for my .280 Remington, and then tackle my sons .308. Looking forward to the challenge.

Finally got my load where I want it for my SPR and did some playing around with a 300 blackout load. Loaded 155gr A-max 300 blackout, which there isn't any load data anywhere for it and used blank brass. Works just fine

SPR
23.5gr of H4895, LC brass, CCI BR4 primers, and 77gr Sierra Match King bullets.
100 yards, 6 shots, sitting on my porch with my rifle laid across my railing.... Very unstable shooting position, but I can't lay in the prone shooting of my back porch. I normally shoot using my bipod and shooting sock under the toe. I can cover the group with a quarter. The one high shot was me.. I knew it when I shot that it wasn't a good squeeze.

Where can I find some good 308 brass. I picked up 50 at the range but I think they are crimped primers.
