I’m going to be running a very similar setup. 7.50 car, same percentages, same tire, same stall, 1.80 glide, I’ll be 50lbs heavier, should be 80-100hp more and I’m going to try 5.00 in mine. I’m not saying my gear is optimal but I have 4.10, 4.30, 4.56 and 5.00 to choose from and went with 5.00. I will be 1/8 mile only. Of your choices I think I would try the 4.86. The 5.67 would be to much for 1/4 mile and possibly the 1/8 and I’m not sure it would be a lot faster in 1/8 than the 4.86. I’m guessing the 4.86 would turn a bit over 8k rpm 1/4 so it would be up to you if you wanted to turn it that hard.

correct Cynic :)

but if i have stall speed at 6500 rpm and shift at 7600-7800
could the 4.86 ratio work on the 1/8 track

have had a 60 fot 1,22 best with 5.67

Yes! If you can go 140 mph 1/8 mile, it'll cross 7400 rpm. :)
