For those of you that remember my thread about my weird issues I was having, well I never figured it out so I ripped every line, fitting, pump, reg. etc. off the car. Now I have a 1 gallon cell for the nitrous and I'm feeding the motor out of the factory tank.

After buying new lines, a shit ton of fittings and a few other items I'm getting low on funds. My question is........ If I was to run a Holley Blue pump (I know, I know) temporarily into a fuel log with 2 803's going to the plate and fogger would it be ok with a progressive? Is anyone else running a similar setup? What issues might I run into if I run it this way?

I will buy a better pump as soon as funds allow but it just isn't in the budget right now and I already have a brand new blue pump on the shelf.

My other option is to run my old in line Walbro into a bypass reg....

Thanks, Shum

How much do you plan on spraying?

I would like to see a bigger pump, but it should work ok.

Know a guy who ran 8's with a single Holley black pump on a 540bbc and a 300 shot fogger:rolleyes: he never had any problems. When he finally put a bigger pump in, the car ran the exact same numbers, no improvement.

I'll be spraying 200 on the plate and 250 on the fogger at most.

I was more curious to see if the blue pump's and the 803's did ok with a progressive?

Like I said before, I'll get a bigger pump in the near future, I'm just running the blue till I can afford one.

you thinking that pulsing the noids will mess with the pump?

Not as much just the pump but the combination of that pump with those regulators. I'm not saying that I think I will have a problem, I'm just asking to see if there is a potential problem running those with a progressive. I'm just sick and tired of fighting the fuel system on my car and I want to try to have all the bases covered so that I can actually get the car dialed in 100%. Then hopefully I can run some better times!

I have a dedicated nitrous system using a holley blue that sounds similar to yours except I only have one stage (big shot plate). I use the 803 regulator (no return or bypass) and I have a progressive controller (NOS)....it works well, used this setup for years and never had a problem....
