Just picked up a 2003 1500. Looking for wheel and tire sizes. What do you guys recommend. No lift maybe a leveling kit

4x4 I assume?

On a 17x8 or 9" rim a 285/70-17 would look good with a level only. We had a '03 Ram 3500 at work we put that size tire on and looked good.

I had a 2005 1500 4x4 which is the same body style. I had the stock 17" wheels on it. I ran 305/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers and all I did was crank up the torsion bars a little bit. Filled the wheel wells perfectly and never had any rubbing issues.

I should add, I had bought leveling keys but after a couple turns with the stock keys I didnt feel it was necessary.

I had an 04 1500 with 20's and 3.92

I did the torsion keys level and 275 65 20 for about a 34 inch tire. It looked pretty stout and maintained a stock ride.

What gear in the truck. Mine had the 3.55s and it really turned into a pooch with the 305s. Cruise control set on the interstate and it was tough to maintain 75 without constantly downshifting.
