I just bought a used original Qwikdata Advanced system. When 12 volts is put to it, does the light on the box flash? This one does and it's not connecting to the computer. Not sure if that's a serial/USB problem or if something is wrong with the unit.

Those things are extremely sketchy. I attempted to use one for several years. Very hit and miss. Worked perfect on jackstands in the pits, but wouldn't record going down the track. I bought a Computech and used all my sensors from the Qwikdata. Great low cost recorder. Works everytime.

Do you remember how the light worked? Should it be flashing? Don't want to spend money getting it hooked up to the computer if something is wrong with it.
