I was told that somebody makes a quick disconnect trans yoke/driveshaft setup, that would allow the driveshaft to disconnect from the trans still attached to the rear end.

who makes this setup? & is it common on drag race cars, or is this a circle track thing? can't recall ever seeing this on any drag cars I've looked at.

70s/80s Chevy pickups and Corvettes have the two-piece yokes....there's a couple of different versions....and yes they do make your life easier if the box has to come out at the track. Just make sure the driveshaft/yoke have enough movement to clear the ears on the yoke when you dis-assemble.

No offense, my 2 cents. I would never use some 30 year old technology from a stock chevy truck on any of my cars.
Even if it did fit. (he has a ford thing) Get the modern units they sell for us. Good luck.
