I would expect your 5200 stall to become 6400 or so. If you tune it and actually can get a 200hp increase you should go 8.80 or better and should be less than 8400 thru the traps.

do you think it will live that high in rpm or would a gear change be in order?

The rpm question is up to you and your engine builder (and your connecting rods & valve train.......).

If you can't get a taller tire you may need to go down in gear.

Make a pass and click it at the 1000ft.

If you have never shot it before you should only be making 1/2 track passes (1/8) and checking plugs anyway. 200hp is a very strong starting point and can hurt things fast.

Thanks for the advice, we do plan on some smaller hits and tuning up to 200 shot.

Start at 100hp and you can't do too much wrong to hurt something.

Hell, to most on here a 100hp shot is a good frickin' purge! ;)

A lot run .040's in their direct port, I was running a SINGLE .040 in my plate........ :)

I would say half track it as well. If it seems it is going to be safe for you leave on it and see what she'll do. Me personally I'd get rid of the 4.86 gear and aim around 4.30. A taller gear will keep RPM low and also Nitrous increases Tourgue Tremendously at lower RPMs. Good luck and keep us updated.
