I have an NHRA stocker (i know, not a lot of that aroudn here), and am thinking of going to a lightweight battery setup. We are required to have one battery in the stock location, but can have a second in the trunk. The car is a 92 camaro and has to run; starter, MSD 7AL, Accel DFI, shift controller, fan, water pump and fuel pump, gauges, and lights at night. The car also has the stock power windows in it. We are required to drive to the staging lanes, and to the scales and back after a pass. We also run the fan and water pump in the lanes to cool the car back down. We are required to run an alternator, but they are usually as light duty as possible looking for every .001 we can. Which battery would you reccomend for this application?

For driving it up and back, and with the alternator I would use the L1600A. Its 23ah and weighs 11 pounds. It can be used with an alternator or without. Give me a call here ath the shop and we can discuss it further..
