I know that I should already know this, but how is qualifying done for say the 8.50 index class? How good do you need to be to make the field at YG Nats?

Depends on car count. If there are 33 cars on a 32 car field your chances are good on getting in. I think last month the cut off was a 8.63.

I bet the YB Nats will have a 32 car field bump around 8.55 and there will be 80 cars trying. Just a guess.

There was a lot more than 32 at last years YBN's, and the bump was 8.553 IIRC.

You will be after all cars over the index on the sheet. For example if someone breaks and runs a 20.30 and you run a 8.499 you will be after him.
