i have a 355 procharged combo putting out 625 [email protected]6600 rpm and 515 ft lbs torque at 5300 rpms. My qtr mile time was a [email protected] I dont understand how it is this high? I wouldve thought at least my mph wouldve been higher because of the hp. The car weighs approx 3400 with me in it. My rpms through the traps was 6650 rpm. I have a th400 with a 3.89 rear gear and 28" tall tires. The convertor is approx a 4000 stall.

I dont have any experience launching the car what so ever as this is my first supercharged car so i know i lost a bunch of time as i only had a 1.744 60' time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the slip is as follows:

60' 1.744
330 4.773
1/8 7.202 @101.19
1000 9.311

625 rwhp will only push my car to 127 mph?? when the motor was 330 rwhp NA with a 225 shot (at motor) of N2o and it ran a [email protected].

am i pushing through the convertor? How much slippage is right/normal for a convertor? I am calculating roughly 12% slippage on the rpm/tire/gear combo.

looks like about 10 percent slippage...id say the 10.30s range is a good goal...if u think more power is on table, is fuel system up to it? spark? id say your not doin bad....

That makes no sense. Your car is only a 100lbs heavier than mine and I only made 515 rwhp on a Dynojet. My turd runs low 10's @ 133+. A typical run is 10.2 @ 134mph. That is in decent air with no nitrous. I have a Power Glide, 4.30 gears, 30" tire, 5500rpm convertor, leaving at 1500rpm. You need more convertor to start with. I only trap at 6600rpm going 135mph, about 7500rpm @ 153mph. You aren't blowing-through your convertor but it is way too tight or you are not making the power the dyno said you are.

Your average power is what matters- not your peak.
You have a mixmatched combo -the only easy crutch is to gear it and see where the power is.
Your 660' shows not enough wheelspeed - make it work to half track and the rest will follow.
