I have read posts on this site and others about the hose deteriorating quickly. Must be important on who you get it from. May want to do a search just to be safe.

I have used the push lok stuff and I noticed it got hard and cracked after a year or so. I still use it on some stuff because I have some of it left. If I buy I buy the steel braided stuff. As said for the few extra dollars it is money well spent to me. I just tried the black braided stuff on a car and it is neat. Very flexible and cuts easy. I used tape around it to cut it but that didn't work because when you pull the tape off the black outer lining goes everywhere. I don't think I like the black for a neg. pressure hose such as an oil supply line. Some guys I know think it may be sucking together? How are you all cutting the steel braided? I'm using a chopsaw but was woundering about the big cutters like Summit sells.

We use it on everything, no issue at all. Even used it submerged and it holds up decent to that for a year or two, but I wouldnt recommend it. Certain aeroquip the fc662 I think and the blue stuff is legal, most other pushlok hoses arent actually listed as legal in nhra book, may have changed by now.
