Well I was gonna go procharger but I think I will try and keep it simple. Need some ideas in what direction to go. Car is a 69 nova stock suspension/radial tire (315) w/3.60 gear. Not sure on the weight yet but I guess you could say probably 3300 with my big as in the seat. Already have a Big M block. Bore will be 4.56. Also have dart 355's with Ferrera SS and T&D shafts. Heads flowed 420 on the good port @.800. Car will be 95% strip with about 5% cruise nights (less than 20 miles at one time). This is not a class and is just for my personal enjoyment. Although it's pump gas would eventually like to hit it with 250 shot later on. Also have the MSD digital box and will be carburated. Would love to hear from anyone with a good combo that make good power on PUMP GAS. Thanks in advance.

I did a 598 pump gas engine with Dart 355's. Most N/A fun car i've ever been in.

it made about 850hp (can't quite remember exact numbers) and all done by 5900rpm, an absolute stump puller.

STD 355's, jessel 1.85:1 shafts, crane r272 roller, comp was around 12:1.
Ported super victor, 1050 dominator,. Dart 10.2, eagle 4.5 crank, eagle 6.535 H Beams

It ran 9.3 in 3200lb nova, and he drove the wheels off it on the street.

I think I am gonna stick with a 4.5 stroke cause thats what I alraedy have. Thanks for the combos so far. Keep'em coming.

Just curious if anyone would do anything more to the Dart 355's to make max HP? Right now they are 2.30 & 1.88 as they came fom Dart. Would it be worth going to a 2.35 valve for a 588?

Im not done with it yet, (too many other projects) but I just did a 565 w/ 355's, hydralic roller, 10.5:1.
Shafiroff has some pretty good combos you can look it. I dealt with Vinnie, he swears 800hp, we'll see.

Think I am gonna go with a 598. Just ordered crank and rods. Just trying to figure out how much compression I can get away with without having to mix with race gas. Anybody?

if you read on here its just a matter of the camshaft, some guys on here say they run as high as 12.5.. unless i read something wrong, sure someone will chime in
