It depends on how hard you are spinning the blower. The goal is to keep the compressor from surging. Chances are, your current valve (I assume it is a Pro-Flo) will do the job. When we developed it, the red ProCharger valve (with the annular discharge, not the shrouded version) out flowed everything else by a considerable margin. I don't know that any other brand of valve would be much if any better if you opt for a big poppet type valve.

The Tial valve on ebay is very good value for money though. Seen them at less than $200.oo

I'm just thinking that for a D1 the extra expense of a $400+ BOV when a $200 one will suffice could mean money spent elsewhere.

JGS 56mm BOV has a larger opening at the valve than the P/C Big Red valve. JGS 56mm BOV retail at only $229.99.
