Every time I have called Profile, they were very friendly and informative. I have inquired about 13 degree SBC 219 heads, 24 degree big block heads and 12 degree spread port heads. Not once did they say they had finished heads in stock to ship. It was always" I think there are some castings back there, but they need to be machined". Buying from a Profiler dealer that has inventory would be quicker and cheaper. JMO.

WEEEEELLLLL, Got the heads last night. This morning I drilled the steam holes for the 400 and clayed up a piston to check valve to piston clearance and set a head on. Bolted it down and put a set of lifters in and pair of push rods. When I put the rockers on the intake tip sets almost off the valve stem. So far can`t tell if it is the guide plate, stud location or what. Non of the guide plate slot`s center up on the intake push rod hole in the head. Will put another set of eye`s on things and get stuff figured out. Not real happy with Pro Filer especially after waiting a month and a half to get the heads.

Finally got everything all straightened out with adjustable guide plates and alot of time. Put the motor on a run stand to make sure all is well and will dyno it in some days to come. Thanks for all of your input.:)

I haven`t commented on this deal with Pro Filer Performance for awhile so will bring you up to speed.
Put the motor on the dyno and it made good power untill it floated the valves at 5800 rpm. After some digging we found that the spring locaters were way to small for the springs and there was not enough spring pressure. PF told me they sure never had seen this before and sent me some new locaters. Same thing I already have. In talking to them about this they would get back to me. Never have. We are just fixing the problems ourselves. At this point I will tell you that the heads are very good but their valve train parts leave alot to be desired along with their customer service. Just buy the bare heads and set up your own valve train. Way more cost effective and a bunch less frustrateing.
