Anyone going up the mountain to spectate? Already have a camping pass for Saturday night at Halfway campgrounds. Also attending Friday practice.

18 hour drive, minus 2 hours for time change, 1200 miles, hope to watch the sunrise in Kansas light up the mountains as we are driving west in about 24 hours or so from now.

I have a severe height issue too but strangely enough being on a mountain doesn't bother me at all.

Bring winter clothing. Last time I was at Pike's Peak in July '17, it was 89 at the bottom and 37/snowing at the top in July. There were all kinds of squirrely tire marks on a lot of the turns, I guess Ken Block was there a short time before us. Have fun.
