i am new to the pg, coming from a th400, but i have all R, N, H,L set perfect, they drop right in. but when i go to park it doesnt engage. it seems very far to compared to the th400. any advice

There are different "detent plates" for these shifters depending on what trans you use. They can be swapped out however. Butch/56sedandelivery.

If this is the same shifter that was shifting the 400, the gate plate will have to be changed if possible.
