i have a powerglide behind my sbf in my 10.5 car after last weekends race i pulled the car around after my last pass and in neutral the car sounds like it has a minor grinding sound but in gear it goes away. what could be causing this? i pulled the trans and the converter bolts were tight and the flexplate bolts are tight as well. could it be in the converter? idk im kind of lost at this point but i want to fix it before it creates a bigger problem. just fyi the car is 2913 lbs with me and the car ran 5.83 with a 1.28 60ft all motor, and i was leaving off the footbrake at 3500 rpm

thanks for the help

Check fluid condition then pull the pan see if there's any indication of something coming apart, grinding noise could be lots of things
