I had mentioned a while back that my shop was building a Duster, and several people asked me to post pics. Well I finally got around to getting some pics together. The pics aren't all that great, but should give the basic idea. We have actually made alot of progress so far, but I will start at the beginning so everyone interested can follow along. We design our chassis' in house incorporating some of the best features from McAmis, Bickel, and RJ melded into our design to hopefully produce a very nice finished product. All the tubing came off the rack and was bent here, alot of the tabs and brackets are also custom made to each application, no kits here. The chassis/car is in mock-up mode right now because I hate to get to far ahead if I need to change something. So there are alot of gussets, tubes, brackets, etc. that aren't assembled yet, but will be added when the chassis is nearer to completion. Thanks for any constructive criticism, and feel free to ask questions. Paul
The customer brought me this car for a new C/M cage on his rails/chassis and after looking over a Haas ex-prostock car we had in the shop, he decided to go with a whole new car. This is how it looked when it came in:

The body removed from old chassis and new rails getting laid out.

The rear. It started off as a Bickel blank that we added RJ brackets on. Then we fabbed the braces and welded. It still needs more bracing and cut to length, but we needed it for mock up so we will add that later.

Thanks for the kind words. Chassis cert to 6.00. Kyle- what parts of the housing you want to see? Yeah, the table was a good investment. Sure makes things easier.

Man, that work looks good.
Dusters make great looking race cars!

Just for shits and giggles, you should take a look at what some of the old Pro Stock racers did with their Dusters... I've seen pics of the front fenders with the wheel opening pushed up nearly to the bumper, the doors moved forward two inches, and the rear wheel opening moved forward an inch or two. Cheatin' sons of bitches, but it got them down the quarter quicker!
