Ive got a set of Victor JR sbf heads that are fully cnc ported, my problem is that the spark plugs threaded portion is exposed in the chamber about .125 thou. at the bottom(cylinder) side while the top is flush. No one seems to make a Gasket seat plug with a .460 reach so i will have to use washers to space it out. I want to get the threaded portion out of the chamber as a detonation precaution but im worried that bringing the end of the plug(strap) up into the plug hole will cause problems firing the mixture properly. Im using an Autolite 3923 currently.
Anybody run into this before or have any suggestions, or is it even worth trying to correct the problem? Thanks -Ray
