1981 Camaro Z28 with plastic/rubber front-side-rear
ground effects. All the dents are out of the metal
and the paint has been stripped from the ground effects. QUESTION: Do I need to prep these plastic/
rubber ground effect part in a different manner.
Paint shop just gave me a dumb ass look! HELP!

if they are raw plastic, you need to put an adhesion promoter on them before you prime them. most paint companies have their own, so check with the paint manufacturer to see which one they recommend.

How did you strip these parts? Are they down to bare plastic...everywhere?, gauged up at all, sanding scratches.

There will be a whole procedure with unique products involved. Each paint supplier has their own procedure so be sure to figure out who's paint your going to use, then follow that procedure to a "T". (skip on step and your screwed...plastic is a bitch)
