AC-130 Gunship, baby. My husband worked on them as a jet engine mechanic on Hurlburt Field, Florida, USAF Special Operations Squadron, 16th S.O.S. in the mid 1990's. He did a lot of deployments. Funny, back then a lot of people, even military guys, had never heard of the attack cargo plane. Now it seems everyone knows about them. One was in the first Transformers movie, maybe that's why?

Funny thing is.... I've done this exact same mod to a plane just like this at the Aviation Museum at Robins AFB.

Yes the AC 130 is one badass cargo plane.... the above picture is actually flares being shot off. To distract heat seeking ammo.

If you ever get to DC the air and space museum they have a little bit of everything.

For me the new stuff is cool but nothing like b-29 or a p-51

I work on new stuff every day so the old stuff is cool. When you see one and realze they were built 67 years ago that is crazy. I have been to Roush and saw a merlin appart on a bench. That is cool
