i talked to Jay today and he is fine and the damage is all body. He will be back out soon.

i dont know how to say this with out being negative... so lets go withthe good points
Its a J&E power plant and that bitch makes some power!
Its a great idea basically making a supra and mustang become one!
With that being said, i think this is just too big of a beast for him and he may really hurt him self or some one else if he contuies to drive.
I dont want it to become a personal shot at jay but maybe its a good time to take a giant step back and look at things from the outside

Slow i was waiting for someone to post something like you did. But he is definetly gonna hurt himself and this is just a little bit of proof. I mean i dont want to see anyone get hurt. But he really needs to take a step back. I dont think he really realize what he is in for with the power level that he has.

I guess you're Brandon, I mean...no one has ever...ever had a car come around on them and get the wall.

Certainly no one from yb, right...let alone all the other thousands of racers.

No one posts any of the 5.60-5.80 1/8's I've run in this car w/o issue, why's that? No one posts, "philly single just went 135 in the 1/8" or "sbc supra just pulled a 1.32 60'"?.

To post and imply that I'm out there running with this car set to kill is not only wrong and mis-informed its just plain dumb.

I am taking a big step back to examine everything, but that's just to become a better racer.

Well Actually this is the same BRANDON that stood by you and helped you along with others at cecil county the first time you had the car out this year.
and I Cant stress this enough!!! This is not a shot at you!!!

You have to remeber, this think set on "get down the track" is faster then ive been and you've been. and a lot of people been!!

You take this how ever you want, i didnt want to come off as a dick but i guess i did so, im sorry and i wish you the best of luck

As I tried to point out, I'm not the first or last driver that will happened to. And I respect your opinion, not sure who the other guy in this thread is, but it's easy for anyone (not necessarily you) to jump in here and just say, "too much car, he should stop racing it". I'll try not to even comment on "this is alittle bit of proof". Where's everyone backing me up all the times I've run out solid 1/8's? Saying, "wow, there's some proof he's getting it figured out"? I posted just one of those and I get one reply from Jeff....

Like I said, Brandon...I am taking your advice by taking a step back to really understand more about the car, how it makes power and how to control it all. That MSD box is powerful and has significantly got 1st gear under control. There will be plenty of "stepping back" to examine and learn....but I'll be back at the track.

Your help, alex's help, etc...all very appreciated.

philly i was pickin a check up from a customer in atco yesterday and i figured i d swing by the track and see what was goin on, you were right behind me pullin into the track, i was temped to stay and see the car in action because i havent seen it with the new setup,but i had to go back to work, hopefully everything is easily fixable, to say that you should step back and reconsider what your doin is incorrect in my book, to say that a car like that cant handle the power is untrue there are many dragradial supras who have layed down numbers to the eight like that with no problem, the difference is the there with import engines and yours in domestic.hopefully we will see you out very soon again because your car is very unique and will be a crowd pleaser! when all the bugs are worked out i wouldnt be suprised to see that car in the 7s

Yo Jay ......first of all ...im glad to hear your ok .....now ....let me know when you have that car back together .....i will help you get that thing down the track ...and learn to drive it under boost . Its not rocket science. We or at least most of us all have tagged the wall at some point. Shit happens ...its drag racing. Dont hang up the keys ...just learn from your mistakes. Driving a street tire car making 2000 hp isnt the easiest thing in the world but there are tricks to make it easier :rolleyes:. Plus you have some good people looking out for you (J&E and CoRuPt) .....that always helps. Use your Resources, I thought i gave you my number but if not ill PM it to you.

he will be fine ..it will take a little getting used to ..we all go through set backs ..
he is trying to get down the track on a small tire with big hp ..
one good day at a rental spending the day with a few freinds will get it worked out ..
he wasnt overly anxiose it will just take practice .i had to slowly step up in the et,s it gave me more time to get used to the car and the speed ..11,10,9's .8,s and some day 7's maybe ..good luck jay dont get too down on it,,. like alex said no big deal ..

Jay, Glad to see that you were not hurt. I dont know you but I do know Joe and Ed and hopefully everything will turn out for the best. With the people in your corner and alittle time you will be going down the track with no problems.
