Need some advice, I was wondering if anyone would recommend which trans I should use and why on my 3300lb BBF nitrous mustang. I'm switching everything over and this is my next step then I'll move to the diff gearing. thanks for any imput

Judging my car verses my buddies, I think the powerglide offers so much more in advantages. My car weighs 3210 and my buddies is 2980 but his will 60 foot 1.25 and mine around 1.22 [his 1.80 first verses 2.48 for mine] but he picks up 3 mph in the 1/8th and about 4 to 5 mph at the quarter. Plus the 400 uses about 40 horsepower to drive compared to 16 to 18 for a powerglide. This is just a couple of observations. Plus the 400 costs more to maintain. And the powerglide is about 40 pounds lighter.

I pesonnaly think with a good th-400 & no traction problem the th-400 will be as fast if not faster...
