Interesting to see that new NOVI 2500 head unit compared to the YSi, wonder what the price difference is. They said that in the compressor map, the efficiency of the NOVI was a little "thicker" throughout, compared to the better peak of the YSi. I'd have to see a back-to-back comparo' to confirm what it means to a real-world small- or big block.
BTW: Who cares about the hat, it's kinda' fugly (and huuugge) and probably priced a good deal above a CSU or EV unit. Anybody up for doin' a comparison on the hats?

I'd like to see a comparison too. Its initial design doesn't look that promising to me or that it would out perform a EV or could be used on anything with big power. Looks more like something that was purposely designed to have that older nostalgic look and to fit under a factory hood. It just doesn't look like performance was at the top of the list when they were designing it or that this is to be used on high horsepower race applications.

I use an ev pro, 1 inch spacer, super victor intake and a C&S carb on a SBF, the hat is staged 90 degrees to the carb. The problem I'm having is at cruise the drivers side bank is one point fatter then the passenger side 13.5 to 14.5. At WOT they even up fairly well but I still see the drivers side wideband reading .3 fatter then the other side. With the hat removed and no belt on the blower, the banks are spot on. I have even switched the O2's to see if it was a sensor issue and it made no difference. I'm building 31 ford street rod that will see lots of street/highway miles and am wondering if this would help drivability and street manners.

Thoughts?

Try removing the one spacer on top of the carb and add a one inch spacer under the carb. Or swap the EV Pro Carb hat for a divided EV Carb Hat.

Are you using tubing the same size as the hat or smaller tubing and steping the diameter up at the hat?

To keep the heat from the radiator, oil and trans coolers out of the intake tube. I do a lot of street driving and some cruises from time to time. Not sure how much it helps but I figured it wouldn't hurt.
