pm and email sent about thisI have a superior airflow polished hat and 1 inch spacer for a 4150 used but in great shape I would sell for 150.00 plus shipping.I upgraded to the pro hat [email protected]
Try removing the one spacer on top of the carb and add a one inch spacer under the carb. Or swap the EV Pro Carb hat for a divided EV Carb Hat.I use an ev pro, 1 inch spacer, super victor intake and a C&S carb on a SBF, the hat is staged 90 degrees to the carb. The problem I'm having is at cruise the drivers side bank is one point fatter then the passenger side 13.5 to 14.5. At WOT they even up fairly well but I still see the drivers side wideband reading .3 fatter then the other side. With the hat removed and no belt on the blower, the banks are spot on. I have even switched the O2's to see if it was a sensor issue and it made no difference. I'm building 31 ford street rod that will see lots of street/highway miles and am wondering if this would help drivability and street manners.
Thoughts?

Steps aren't good. Is it causing your problem, I don't know. But for good flow you should have a cone shaped transition. It's stepped from 3" to 3.5" and then to 4" before the BOV and the turn.
