1100hp wedge head, .. .. didn't come close when it was a smaller oval port.

Big problem any time you say "X" or "Z" is the best is you stop any opportunity to advance, learn, grow etc.
Me, I'm always open to what the engine tells me and learning every day, even after 40 years of doing this.

Curtis, was looking at your head posted in the other thread. Ovals just look wicked.
Looks like they could handle quicker air speeds with ease.

I agree with Curtis.
If the area available is limited, and more is needed, sometime the only way to get it is to square it up :)

Looks can be very deceiving when it comes to fluid dynamics
and flow through pipes or ports.

oval or round shapes are only "ideal" for perfectly strait pipes
with no turns, bends or change in area.
