I just ordered a tall deck 582 from Nyes. Origionally I had planned on using a set of heads I got (bowtie 861's) so I sent one to him and he said they would work but he didnt have a good feeling about them. So after some talking he told me he would put my good parts from the heads into a set of BMF 385's. So I am now basiacally getting a complete motor with me supplying the valve train assembled and dynoed. Im pretty exicited about it as this is my first real motor. Going in a 2450 LB tube chassis duster

sounds good but i would just go with a matching cam for the motor and the correct new springs.if not i cant see how it would be a nicely matched combo.

I am using there cam, but using my springs.

Yes 2450 with motor. The price of a set of good heads for mopar is as much as a complete short block and will be slower in the end. I tried to stick with mopar but price wouldnt let that happen.
