i would be wondering why after only four months he is willing to take an $1800.00 hit. And... chevrolet diesels are know for injector pumps going bad and are weak motors. i bought a 85 4dr dually with 454/400 turbo tranny that i am selling on here. i bought it to tow with but don't have anything i can't tow with my 06 1/2 ton. reason i bought, i can work and repair anything on it with low cost and not have to worry. those diesels like that i have seen many people getting rid of in the 90,000 to 130,000 mile range. and yes beware the 5th wheel
i had a 79 cc dually 454/400 turbo brand new from top to bottom. tuned it out. headers turbo mufflers, 650 edelbrock carb good wires, alum intake, solenoid kit on firewall. did some trading aquired a 90 xcab dually 454 F.I. auto overdrive. driving them back the older model got better fuel mileage than a newer model did. so now you know why i prefer non-overdrive and non-F.I. crewcabs
