CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2 AND ADVANTAGE OR DISADVANTAGE OF EITHER WAY.
1.66 1st GEAR & 3.89 REAR GEAR YEILDS A 6.45 SLR NOW A
1.80 1st GEAR & 3.89 REAR GEAR YEILDS A 7.00 SLR NOW A
1.80 1st GEAR & 3.60 REAR GEAR YEILDS A 6.48 SLR.

SO MY ? IS WHATS THE DIFF OR ADV OR DISADVANTAGE OF TAKING GEAR OUT THE TRANS ADDING IN THE REAR OR LEAVING IT IN THE TRANS ANDAKING IT OUT THE REAR IF YOU CAN REACH THE SAME SLR#

The low rear numeric will add additional load to the trans/converter where the rear ratio with the lower trans numeric will not. The launch will be similar and the differences will be shown after that.

IF A 1.66 AND 3.89 GIVES A 6.45
& A 1.80 AND 3.60 GIVES A 6.48 HOW WILL HAVING LESS REAR GEAR EFFECT ENGINE RPM AND GEAR CHANGE?

It won't change it by much if any at the starting line but , its what happens down track and after the shift that will show more of the differences.

NOT YELLING. SO WHAT HAPPENS DOWN TRACK AFTER THE SHIFT? REASON IM ASKIN THE CAR IM DRIVING HAS THE 1.66/3.89 AND I A THROW SOME GOOD POWER AT IT OUT THE HOLE EVEN THO ITS A 4LINK. SO IM TRYIN TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO WITH MY CAR WHICH HAS LADDER BARS AND 1.80/3.89 NOW. WILL THE LOWER SLR WITH THE 1.80/3.60 HELP SOFTEN THE HIT WITH THE LADDER BARS AND STILL LET THE MOTOR GET UP IN ITS POWER BAND AND STAY THERE ON THE GEAR CHANGE? SO SHOULD I STAY WITH THE 1.80/3.89 SETUP?
