Thats no joke. While I like the exposed transmission I would atleast cover the driveshaft and parking brake/yoke. Maybe run the tunnel up to the tail housing bolts. That thing would make quick work of a hand or even an arm and all it would take is highway speeds and a floppy/baggy shirt"
Although I dont understand why there is a fad of not making a simple trans tunnel, early Ford trans such as this (and many other makes) used an enclosed drive shaft inside a torque tube. There are no exposed moving parts. The drive shaft looks more like an axle shaft, utilizing a u joint at the trans, and solid sleeve type coupling at the pinion gear.
