What is the best/easiest way to get oil stains off coated headers?

dawn dish soap. Try diluting it a bit at first.

We used super fine steel-wool and thinner. QC Coatings/ceramic.
These were after a heaved head-gasket.

Wow that looks great. You used regular paint thinner? What did you use to polish afterwards

X2 on the #0000 steel wool, and we used a little brake cleaner with it where needed (and the shine is right back w/o any kind of polish).
