Noticed last night the wingnut shaped piece on the bottom of my catch can just turns in place. Theres a fitting with threads the wingnut is attached to and it just spins in place on the threads. It does not go up, down, loosen or tighten...

Oh and these pics were taken before my helper scractched the hell out of it taking the bottom fitting off!

bend the 'wings' down onto the lip portion sticking out the bottom...maybe it will grab better then. Use a pair of needlenose pliers on the threads slightly to loosen up the fitting so the wingnut can work...hope this makes sense

Unscrew it (with a 9/16ths wrench) and replace it with a new one, they are cheap at the parts store. You can even find one that is a quarter turn model.

Found one at oreillys for 3 bucks. Same plug used on radiators to drain from the bottom.

Thanks!
