I think one thing that they need is stability...... I would hope they could do there home work, come up with good rules that fit the classes and then let them be..... Don't change the rules for the cars that are built but have people build cars to the rules.....

Years ago i started twice for a customer to build a ez street car. The first event we went to, to check the cars out we seen cars that had parts on that were not allowed by the rules???? it's just frustrating not being rich and being able to afford the changes needed... So he just gave up...

1) Leave the rules alone.
2) Lower the entry fee for fans.
3) Lower the entry fee for racers.
4) Increase the payout to racers.
5) Make the show more entertaining. Move FASTER!!! One day is probably enough time to get this thing done.
6) Form a parnership with the tracks that the NSCA races at. The tracks will help promote the event if there is something in it for them.
7) Print a real rule book.
8 ) Take better care of your members by sedning them updated information. Their magazies, t-shirts, all the stuff they paid for. Show them that membership has benefits.
9) Contingency. If it's the racer's fault they are not getting paid teach them how to get paid. A 1 page handout might do the trick.
10) Fewer races.
11) Race in makrets where the NSCA does well (MD, OH, etc.)
12) Ban Monty Mikho from EVER attending a event.....EVER!!!!

I have more!!! I'll post later !!! :smt005

I love the NSCA, ever since dad and I made the decision to run street eliminator, and had the chance to meet some great people, see some awsome racing action...and be treated like we racers instead of just another number out in the pits.

for me I need the following:
1. stability. I am round the corner of 3rd base on my NPS build, I fully plan on racing all the NSCA 06 races as long as I can fit any rule changes. Yes we will be an underdog. but the people, the eviroment, the high level of competition makes me want to be there. But I have to know that for 07, if we bump up to a Hardesty 632, we will have a class to race in. or even be legal for that class. I have already herd rumors that Dart might be pulling 06' class sponsorship if the car counts suck.

2. contingency... rumors or not about getting the money owed to racers scares me. not that I plan on winning or not but I want to know that if I do I am able to get the money I deserve for winning.

3. monson's lower entry fee is cool with me

4. perhaps a ruling that can allow local racers join a class for a one time deal without having to join the NSCA. That way if they fit a class but will never race another NSCA race that year they dont get charged class entry fee and membership. By this ruling they would be able to race but would be awarded no points....

5. allow nitrous in american muscle so I can bring out a 2 car monte team in 07' ;) j/k we'll bring back the black in A/M soon enough.

6. more cars/more people.... no explination on a how too for this one. but Look at Milan friday night then look at the Faster and more diverse NSCA.... its kinda sad....

I asked my darling, lovely, intelligent ........ wife what she thought about the Milan show VS the NSCA show. She said that Milan was fast and intense. The NSCA was slow and laid back. There's too much down time with the NSCA.

I didn't qualify for the race last year at Orlando so I stuck around to watch. Once the race action started I didn't want to move. I was afraid I would miss something. It was fast paced and entertaining. I'll drive to Orlando again this year to have a chance at being part of that show.

Fast pace is part of the ticket. 2 weeks ago I was in south Georgia for the BTE/Citgo Sportsman series (JAMA's their chaplain as well). They finished a race and almost finished the 2nd one until the rain returned all in one day. The racing started at 9 AM and was none stop for almost 12 hours (over 200 cars in 3 classes)... it was intense...

Maybe giving folks so much time between rounds has been the wrong approach.

1.Allow local racer to run one event without having to spend $250.00 and join the NSCA. Local racers will bring local fans which will increase the amount of spectators. Leave the spectator fee alone.
2. Find the local racing web sites in the area of the event and post info about the event.
3. Fix the NSCA web site to be more user friendly and have the info available all about the events with fees, payouts, and so on. It looks like a private club now.
When you click on an event, all it gives is hotel info.
4.NO KFC allowed at NSCA Event!!!!

I agree with speeding up the pace. I think that is one of the biggest problems. Although that might already be taken care of by combining / eleminating some of the classes.

The main thing is how to attract more spectators. I know we have talked about this subject on other posts, but....

What about more national magazine coverage. Remember back in the Hot Rod Magazine fastest street car days, every event was in the magazine. Even Popular Hotrodding magazine had alot of coverage. You would always find something about Musi, Christian, Adler or Robbins in just about every issue. They would even have pull out calanders featuring the top cars and drivers. Jimmy could you help with this????

Another thing, I might take some heat for this, but look at the NOPI import events. I HATE imports, But I'm thinking about going to one of their events because it looks like they put on one hell of a show. They have live bands, burnout contests, and HOT ASS BIKINI CONTESTS!, Not to mention some wicked six second cars.

Also, I hate to say it but maybe the NSCA should look at what Milan is doing. Maybe the NSCA should think about having a quick eight run what ya brung race. No rules, anything goes. Maybe they could attract some Pro Mods or even some Top Fuel cars!

I know I'm ranting but The NSCA or even the Nmca/Pro just cant relate to the spectators anymore. It needs to be cool, fast paced and HARDCORE. Something that fans could talk about for days after the event.

Bla, Bla, Bla......

Flame suit on.....I don't suppose a merger would help?
No flame suit needed.. But the NSCA told everyone to piss off and they didn't need their help.. So now we can see them continue this 7 year downslide from the sidelines.. I mean what could stupid ass people like us actually do for the NSCA?
