I was only there for one real round of qualifying yesterday afternoon. I took some nice down track footage this time. Monty, I think we definitely need to do something like this at the Race Warz in a couple weeks! I showed it to a few racers there and they loved the angle. It's tricky as hell to shoot though when the cars come ripping by on the big end.

Also, congrats to Mike Yedgarian for another rippin pass. 195 MPH letting out a little early. I think that should put the whole 200 MPH questions to bed. It was also a pleasure talking to Mike Ski for quite a while. They really have some great cars from Ontario over here this weekend. The series they have over there is producing some amazing cars and times. Hopefully we can go hang out with them some more next year.

Derty, thanks for the vid. But on Mike's deal with the 200 MPH, that was with a different motor, not the 445. He broke a rod in his 200 MPH, 565 motor a couple of weeks ago in Grand Bend. 8)

Hey Derty, im a slow connection right now but will check out the videos later. I did video the big end at one of the races. It took too much time to patch everything together so I said screw it and just do the starting line stuff. The angle I like taking is the one that will help out the racers figure stuff out with their cars. We should think about getting both sides on the 24th..

I'm up for taking the big end video. Hell, stick me on a man lift over the track. That would be a way cool angle. Sort of what ESPN does with NHRA races. I think we could splice them together. Or make two videos starting and top end. For the DVD take the time to splice them together. Who knows.

East/West tracks do suck during certain times of the year. The head wind there sucks too. At least with Milan and US 131 it's generally a cross wind. There were several guys that were dropping chutes early. You could see it in the video, but we watched several guys throw their hands up in front of their eyes at the top end and shut it off early.
