Hey Chuck -

Easy on slinging that 'Crud' word around.

Do you really think you should be using that kind of language this close to Christ's return?

I am excited to support the series that has given us all a great place to race. I will pay more entry fee for less payout. I will pay more membership fee for less benefits. I will travel long distances to race in front of fewer fans. I will never expect national media coverage. After I spend all my money and go broke I will sell my race operation at a huge loss. I will wear my championship jacket with pride and it will not bother me to explain what a "NSCA" is to the uneducated masses.

That's actually Martin, MI. Unfortunately, I will not be at the NSCA Martin race this year. I have the opportunity to do something much more exciting that weekend. I'll be in my shop, watching paint dry.

Monty, I would like to say I would like to race with them. I will not be following the series, but since I will most likely never get to race in Vegas, and Orlando might not happenn with a car, this is the closest thing to BIG TIME racing I could get. The OSCA, CFSC and Milan racing will be the norm for me, but would like to run a couple races with NSCA just to say, "BEEN THERE, DONE THAT". It's more of a "people" thing with me than the series. I do remember when this series was THE BIG TIME street series. Just keeping my options open. :-D

That's fine. The series is looking for more local guys to run now, instead of trying to get guys to follow the series. With the economy down and the popularity of local organizations and series, it's not feasible or attractive for many to follow the series. The focus will be on easy rules to get the locals to come out and play and maybe take out one of the few loaded guys that can go to every race. Looking forward to seeing you at Martin!
Michael, as you can tell by my screen name, I might be in NPS with a minor rule change if the combo stays the way it is. Also looking at S/S or 10.5 stuff as well. Would like to run Martin and Columbus, but Thompson, if I recall correctly, has quite the drop off after the finish line. If this is the same IHRA track that had a National event there back in the 90's ( :smt033 YES the 90's ) we almost rolled our B/D small block Ford there on the first pass. Either way, would like to run 2 or 3 races and this comes into play when I'm thinking about the combo and where I can run. More places = better for the racers. If funds are there, than so will I. John 8)
Take a look at the new Super Street Outlaw rules then and get your game plan together. You'll definitely have plenty of places to run if you go that way. I've never been to Thompson so I'm not sure about a drop off. Of course, they could have redone the track by now anyhow.
