Well, I figured out the charging problem in my Escalade. The computer has a power management mode which doesn't allow the alternator to charge at full power as long as the battery has at least 13 volts. But then, when it drops below 13 volts it slowly ramps up the amperage and won't let it charge at more than 170 amps at 2000rpm and no more than 209 amps at 4500 rpm.

The computer has a power management mode which doesn't allow the alternator to charge at full power as long as the battery has at least 13 volts. But then, when it drops below 13 volts it slowly ramps up the amperage and won't let it charge at more than 170 amps at 2000rpm and no more than 209 amps at 4500 rpm.

First your internet gets fixed then you figure out this issue......sounds like a good couple of days for ya!
