My SOT finally got my Form 4 back for my SilencerCo 45Osprey yesterday. The wife and I love it:

And yeah, I know it's Tap, then Rack, but I've never had a malfunction on my USP before, so it took me a little by surprise. I can do remedial action on my AR-15 lightning fast (used to have overgassing issues with a can), but I pretty much have come to expect the USP to fire every time (I've got several thousand rounds through it until now with no malfunctions at all).

Have you tried sub-sonic? Still a pretty loud "crack".

230gr .45 is always subsonic. The main "crack" is actually a sort of pinging noise from the action cycling; the USP is very loud in this regard (it's actually one of the loudest hosts that I've seen tested). In person (outdoors, at least) it sounds about as loud as child's cap gun. It is certainly "backyard quiet," as they say. I'm excited to try it out on my sister's M&P .45 as it is supposed to be a little quieter still. Subcalibers are pretty much GTG also.
