August 9th a new event series starting at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

Classes;

King of the Strip (This is not a PRO MOD RACE!!) This is for Top Sportsman, Outlaw 10.5 cars ect. The rules designed to keep racing close and competitive. Please check out the rules!!

SGMP Outlaw Drag Radial Rules and Regulations

BODY:
Stock body lines must be retained. Fiberglass pieces limited to hood and bumpers and deck. Hood scoops allowed but must not protrude above halfway position on windshield. After market wings allowed maximum length from transition point of deck lid17 inches. Factory grill and headlights required.

INTERIOR:
Interior required. This includes dash and dash pad, , carpet, headliner, door panels and both front seats in stock location. Rear seat is optional only if area under it is carpeted. Dash pad may be notched for roll bar clearance. Nitrous bottles in passenger area are allowed and must have approved safety vent to outside.

FRONT CHASSIS / SUSPENSION:
Front suspension aftermarket shocks, struts and springs permitted. Aftermarket K-members permitted. Tubular A-arms permitted. Aftermarket bolt-on spindles permitted.

RIDE HEIGHT:
Minimum 3 inches in front of front tires.

REAR CHASSIS / SUSPENSION:
Rear suspension may utilize aftermarket replacement springs, leaf springs, and/or control arms. Suspension and aftermarket torque arms permitted if factory replacement for year, make and model only. Leaf springs may be moved inboard. Aftermarket sway bars permitted. Mini tubs and coil-overs permitted. Must retain stock frame rails, may be notched for tire clearance. Back-half cars prohibited. Ridged mounted suspension prohibited.

FIREWALL:
Stock firewall must be retained and in stock location. Notching for clearance of bell housing, distributor, or supercharger allowed. Smoothing of firewall for appearance is allowed.

ENGINE:
Any engine combination and power adders allowed. single type power adder only . Motor plates and solid mounts allowed. Mufflers required for all cars.

TRANSMISSION:
Any OEM type automatic or manual transmissions allowed. After market heavy-duty cases allowed.

ELECTRICAL:
Stock headlights, taillights required and must be functional. Electrical. Bracket racing aids, such as optical sensors, boxes and electrical or pneumatic throttle stops are not allowed.

TIRES:
DOT Radial Tire, max 12” measured tread widths

DRAG RADIAL WEIGHT GUIDE

  • 3,200 lb. base weight

DEDUCTIONS:

  • Small Block Nitrous – deduct 400 lbs.
  • Naturally Aspirated – deduct 600 lbs.

ADDITIONS:

  • Alcohol for fuel – add 100 lbs.
  • Twin Turbo – add 100 lbs.
  • Sheet Metal Intakes (Nitrous only) – add 50 lbs.

FIELD SIZE AND LADDER:
Outlaw Drag Radial will qualify for a all run field and will be put on a Pro Ladder. If less than 16 cars enter, we will follow the "Outlaw Ladder" for the field size

RACE DAY POLICY'S SCALES:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5 lb error factor allowed.

TOW BACK & TOW VEHICLES:
All Outlaw Drag Radial entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes and to the track scales with a golf cart or other similar small tow vehicle. All carts will be subject to search by a SGMP Official at any time.

BYE-RUNS:
All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/8 mile.
