In the next few months, there will be NO smoking allowed indoors at any business in Bowling Green, Ky. Personally, I never have smoked...and probably never will....BUT I think that this is a bullshit law. For the local government to stick their nose in and tell a man/woman that they can't allow smoking in their business is ridiculous. The way I see it, if you pay the taxes and you own/lease your building, then you should have the right to choose if smoking is allowed in your establishment. So what do you guys think?!

NY has been this way for the past few years now. I don't smoke, so I think it's the best thing to happen. Smelling like smoke sucks.

It's also been like that in SoCal for a while, NO smoking @ the Beach, Public Parks, Hiking or beach Trails, Bars/restuarants or any business for that matter

Massachusetts made bars put in air purifiers then a few months later band smoking all together. Wasted a ton of money. Mass has been smoke free for 8+ years now.
I agree the government should stay out of our lives for things like seat belts that only effects an individual, but if something effects other people, like smoke, then I don't think it is wrong for the government to step in. I personally like going out and not smelling like an ashtray when I get home and I am a smoker.

New Mexico is and has been the same way for quite a while. A lot of places you are not supposed to be within 25ft of the entrance when smoking
