The altered needs to be finished, the chassis is certified 5.99 & quicker. I have never run a altered before. The T/A is very light and I have my blown alky Pontiac engine and 'glide that would go in either car. Money is tight and the T/A would cost me more than the altered (initially) and I would have to sell the altered. In the end, I like door cars, but wanted to try running an altered as I heard its unlikely you'll ever go back to a door car after running one. The altered should run in the high 6's when done and after I get used to driving it. The T/A I think would be capable of mid to low 7's with my current combo.

Just looking for some opinions.....

I guess I feel a little odd working around the altered than a door car. I guess its just another learning curve.

That's a good point. I can do open wheel Top Gun at Boise, its basically a Q8/Q16. Nostalgia in Mission BC and Bakersfield, Spokane I would have to look into. Otherwise I would be stuck in some sort of brackets. The T/A I would run in NPSA Outlaw 10.5 and or PSCA

..and you don't see many 69 T/A's...both cars are pretty bitchen.

So here are some of the other points to ponder...all the tin work on the altered (chassis and body) has to be done. The body needs to be hinged, all the wiring needs done, a new fuel tank built, hand brake needs to be installed, front brakes, etc...

T/A has a Moser 12 bolt with a 4-link, the rear wont handle the power, so that needs to be yarded and I need to notch the firewall for the blower and I already have a fuel tank (front mounted) that I need to install. I think I can be up and running quicker in the T/A.
