friday night ran car with a 150 shot of nos 68n 68f car went 9.20 at 149,put on bigger jets 98n 98f at 5.25 fp car went only 9.16 at 150 mph the car has a hood scoop with the back of the scoop open, heard that having the back of the hood scoop open will richen the mixture whats going on? its an edelbrock plate

Did you pull and read the plugs on the 68/68 tune before you stepped on it? If not take a step back and make sure your basic tune is correct before going any bigger.

That is a night and day difference in those jets sizes....... First, I certainly wouldn't jump from a 68 to a 98 jet.......... Going from a 68 to something in the mid to high 70's would be my first shot. Going from a 68 to a 98 is like putting a second plate on there!

Post-up your entire combo. I bet you have a small nitrous solenoid and it will only flow the equivalant of a .073 jet or so, if you were lucky! If you aren't, and you actually added that much more nitrous through the plate and barely picked-up a mph, you better be pulling all your plugs and leaking-down your engine.......
