Turn the key to the accessory position and everything comes on, go to start it and everything shuts off and no start. No click, no nothing. Already changed the ignition switch and nothing, any suggestions? 2005 Chevy Trailblazer EXT with a 5.3.

Thanks.

I'll look at my service info in the morning. If I see something you could check I'll post it.

When you say ignition swith are you talking about the key cylinder?
I have a 5.3 envoy and had to replace the module that us right underneath the cylinder. Its a little black box if I remember right.

Couple of things for a quick check: In the underhood fuse block fuses #22,34,17, switch the starter relay with another similar one in the block, like the horn or a/c relay. If you can check for voltage to the starter solenoid(purple wire). The PCM grounds the starter relay. If there is a problem with the pass-lock sensor it should store a code B0XXX or B1XXX. GM has had trouble with the pass-lock sensors but I haven't done any in Trailblazers.

Had a Trailblazer a while back that wouldn't crank. Turn the key on and some things worked and some didn't (if I remember right, blower motor and cluster worked, but radio and windows didn't). Did some research and a fellow Bullet member gave me some advice that if any module in the data line is shorted, it will shut down the entire communication line. Long story short, the passenger side window switch was keeping the thing from starting! Unplugged it and it started right up. Try explaining that one to the customer...

Just got back from up North, left it at a buddies garage and they came up with a bad starter. One would turn the key and the other would hit the starter and it would start, time will tell on this one.
