Need help I was rebuilding a cylinder on my friends car and was wondering if it was ok to reuse a piston ring set on just that one piston? The rings have about 50 passes on then but the piston puked and I replaced the piston honed the cylinder, but I cant find a place to sell just a set of rings for a single piston?Would it be ok to just put them on the new piston I really don't want to tear down the rest of the motor or buy a whole set of rings, the cylinder sealed find when removed. The old rings looked good no cranks or damage on them.

Thanks Matt

i would say no because you rehoned the cylinder.
the rings will have a hard time sealing again since they were already worn to the walls.
if you hadnt rehoned i would say it may have been possible.
but i am no expert.
